On a cold, rainy day at beautiful Pebble Beach, Jimmy Walker led the AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am by as many as six strokes. The afternoon was filled with drama as the lead dwindled to one, with Jimmy Walker nailing a 5 foot putt to seal his third victory of the year! A few months ago, Jimmy was known as one of the top PGA Tour players without a victory.
Starting in October, Jimmy has racked up victories at the Frys.com Open, Sony Open and now, the AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am! That’s three victories in eight starts and he joins some elite company as in the last 20 years, only three other players have achieved that feat, including Tiger Woods, Phil Mickelson and David Duval!
Half way around the world at the Australian Ladies Masters, Cheyenne Woods was victorious for the first time in her professional career. Having the same last name as someone who arguably redefined modern golf cannot be easy and this win may help Cheyenne established herself as a golfer and not just Tiger Wood’s niece! However, Uncle Tiger was very proud and congratulated Cheyenne on Twitter.
Way to go @Cheyenne_Woods ! A great win and accomplishment. I'm so proud of you.
