Last week, the PGA Show was held in Orlando, Florida and what a spectacle it was. As always, many new products were pushed out and brands were pushing their marketing to the limits. In recent years, technology has played a significant factor in the development of new products and as Golfing World discussed, these products are really game changers of golf! Among one of the game changing innovations is the Trackman, which help golfers attain feedback from their golf shots like never before. One downside though is the cost of attaining a Trackman but that’s where Ernest Sports comes in with their ES12 Portable Launch Monitor!
The ES12 Portable Launch Monitor was named the Best New Product in 2012 by the PGA. Interacting with the ES12 app, you are able to track and analyze your practice sessions in the palm of your hands! Ernest Sports worked with Mizunos’ Principal Club Engineer, Chris Voshall and Country Club of the South’s Teaching Professional, Shawn Koch to put ES12 through extensive testing. The result was an incredibly accurate launch monitor that provides data such as face angle and launch angle!
There is also an ES12 Club Fitting app available which uses all the data obtained from your golf swings to allow fitters to evaluate and compare different club tests. Although this is probably not as thorough as a fitting done as places such as Modern Golf, the convenience and economical aspect of the ES12 products is definitely something new to the golf market!
