We’ve featured GAME GOLF a couple of months ago, a golf application that is endorsed by Graeme McDowell and Lee Westwood. We’ve seen many different golf applications before, but GAME GOLF is one of the most innovative. It is a wearable device and a non-intrusive data collector to help golfers capture their statistics and trends to allow them to review their game later on and improve on the areas that need work. This data can then be shared with friends for friendly competition across the country or around the world – and you can even compare your statistics to Graeme McDowell’s and Lee Westwood’s! Not only is it a great way to improve your game, but it’s an awesome tool to grow the sport of golf and make it even more social.
GAME GOLF was present at the 2014 PGA Show and announced their joint partnership with the PGA of America and Golf Channel! Not only is it a way for golfers to play, compete, socialize and improve their game, but you can imagine the benefits of having this tool as a teaching aid for PGA Professionals as well.
HOW IT WORKS
GAME GOLF utilizes sensors on each club and a tag-and-go wearable device sensor on the player’s belt. With a tap of your golf club to the sensor, data will be collected and synced to the cloud from the device and then viewable on GAME GOLF’s website within your profile or on your mobile device. Some of the data categories that are collected include club selection, fairways hit, greens in regulation and distance, in addition to other stats and trends important to the player. Take a look at what Graeme McDowell and Lee Westwood have to say about GAME GOLF below!
