Recently, we featured the top 10 fittest players on the PGA Tour. In the past decade or so, fitness in professional golf has taken a significant step due to Tiger Woods and his dominance over the game of golf. Because of all the success that Tiger had, many young players emulated him and started implementing their own training regiments!
In the short clip above, we get a glimpse of these training regiments from players such as Brian Harman, Webb Simpson, Bo Van Pelt, Bill Horschel and Rory McIlroy! One thing that’s consistent among all these players is their feedback from the results of their fitness regimes. They all feel that implementing fitness as a part of their careers has changed them for the better physically as well as mentally!
Although Tiger is often credited with revolutionizing the game of golf, perhaps it was the Black Knight Gary Player who was the pioneer of bringing fitness to golf! Earlier this year, Mr. Player was honored by ESPN by grazing the cover of their Body Issue magazine!
