It’s almost mid-December and Christmas is not too far away. That means, year 2013 is coming to an end very quickly and we’re not too far away from a new season of golf in 2014! The new season has actually officially started but we are sure most people consider this time period an off season for golf. A few days ago, the PGA Tour released a video looking back at their top 10 moments in 2013! To continue our reflection of the year, CNN Living Golf looks back at the success stories of 2013!
Although Tiger Woods did not win in any of the Major Championships in 2013, the year’s four major championships produced quite the success stories. From Adam Scott becoming the first Australian to win the Masters to a masterful performance from Phil Mickelson to win the Open championship, Justin Rose winning the US Open at Merion Golf Club and Jason Dufner winning the PGA Championship, this year’s Majors did not lack excitement nor storyline! To cap it off, Henrik Stenson became the first player to win the FedEx Cup and the Race to Dubai in the same year! A lot of great golf was played in 2013 and after looking back at the success stories, we can’t wait to see what will unfold in 2014!
