This past weekend, the Northwestern Mutual World Challenge was held for the last time at Sherwood Country Club in Thousand Oaks, California. The tournament will move to Florida next year but what a finish it was in the last round to make the last tournament at Sherwood CC a memorable one! Bubba Watson was among one of the players in the field at Sherwood CC and he made an impressive run in the final round before bogeying the 17th hole.
Much has been documented about the $525,000 USD watch that Bubba wears when he plays golf. If you don’t recall, Bubba Watson is a Richard Mille ambassador and the watch he wears is a white Richard Mille RM038 tourbillon that was especially built for him! As explained by Hodinkee.com, “the RM038 is made of magnesium alloy and features a manually wound tourbillon designed to counter-act the G forces that are common with a golfer’s swing.” With Bubba in California for the World Challenge, Bubba took the opportunity to visit Richard Mille Beverly Hills Boutique. Bubba also visited the Richard Mille and Proart factories in Les Breuleux, Switzerland last month!
Aside from having a $525,000 USD watch on his wrist, Bubba seems to be waiting for his new custom golf cart from Garia, maker of luxury golf carts that’s built in the same factory as the Porsche Boxster and Cayman! The man has great taste but what happened to his hovercraft?!
waiting for my new golf cart so I asked @gariagolfcar guys to send me a sneak peak. Check out my seats!! #bubbagolf pic.twitter.com/V6xJex4p6A
