Rory McIlroy’s game has been on the upswing for the past couple of weeks – in his last couple of starts, he finished T2 at the Kolon Korea Open, T27 at the BMW Masters, beat Tiger Woods at The Match at Mission Hills, T6 at the WGC-HSBC Champions, T5 at the DP World Tour Championship and most recently, won his first event of 2013 at the Emirates Australian Open, denying Adam Scott of the Aussie Triple Crown. All this coming in the matter of months after a disappointing year. Hopefully this win will give him the momentum to carry his strong play into the 2014 PGA Tour season!
Much of his success is due to hard work and practice, but finally getting dialed into his new equipment has definitely helped as well. In the video above, Rory talks about what’s in his bag, including the new Nike Golf VRS Covert 2.0 Tour driver and the 2014 Nike RZN ball. You can check out what else he’s had to say about his new Nike Golf equipment in his previous interview with Golf Digest TV Japan too! And in case you were wondering what equipment Rory was playing last year and even before he switched to Nike Golf, you can see that here too!
As of the Emirates Australian Open though, here is a summary of Rory’s bag – we’re digging those new Nike Golf headcovers!
