Over the past few days, we have looked at the history of Srixon and the players who are ambassadors of the Japanese brand. From the two segments, we learned that the Srixon Z-Star golf ball is packed with technology, not unlike the new RZN golf ball from Nike or the famous Titleist ProV1 golf ball! Like its competitors, the Z-Star golf ball starts with its core, a patented energetic gradient growth core which increases the difference in softness between the inner and outer core of the ball. The dimple pattern was also changed and this resulted in an increase dimple area hence, reducing air pressure and increasing carry and overall distance for the ball! The Z-Star is even painted with a soft coating over its urethane cover, increasing its friction by 20%! To date, the Z-Star has the most consistent control and thanks to its core and dimple technology, there is also an increase in control and distance into the wind!
