This week, the LPGA make its way to Naples, Florida for the CME Group Titleholders tournament. The biggest news though is the professional debut of 16 year old, Lydia Ko! Lydia is not the only teenage sensation to make her mark on the LPGA Tour as last week, 18 year old Lexi Thompson earned her second victory at the Lorena Ochoa Invitational in her last four starts!
Coming out on the LPGA Tour as a teenage phenom, Lexi Thompson had a lot of expectations placed on her. As Michelle Wie can attest, these expectations are not a good thing if you fail to meet them however, Lexi has maintained her focus and talked about how she was able to do that in a feature with Red Bull! Lexi has definitely put a lot of work and practice into her game and in an older episode of ESPN Sports Science, we are reminded of how her practice led to a procedural memory in her game. Simply amazing!
