We’ve featured some very cool golf shoes over the past couple of months, from the Mizuno GENEM Series to the Nike iD Japan TW’14 and even the high end bespoke Steven Alexander Golf Shoe.
In this post, we’re featuring the Callaway Golf Japan Hybrid Saddle – a golf shoe that combines both dressy and sporty elements! Design wise, the Hybrid Saddle has a “classic upper” and a “high tech outer sole.” The shape is also based on the classic winged tip shoes, making it something you can wear on or off the golf course. The hybrid saddle features water and dirt resistance to keep the shoe looking clean (A)! The Hybrid Saddle also features “Callaway Japan 23 Last” – Callaway spent a lot of time researching Japanese golfers and the tendencies of their feet during a golf swing so that they can properly fit a golfer for the shoe (B).
On the inside, the Hybrid Saddle provides Callaway’s Cushioning Comfort Insole, made from “Lazy Ortholite,” for extreme comfort (C). The outer sole, or bottom of the Hybrid Saddle, has a TPU stability wrap that minimizes the distance of the golfer’s foot and the ground. During a golfer’s swing, the shoes and spikes twist in the ground to prevent power loss and gives a player stability (D). It’s a really good looking shoe, one that we would definitely wear on and off the golf course!
