After KJ Choi won the Players Championship in 2011, Miura released a limited, special edition set of irons that KJ Choi used to win the tournament. This special edition set of irons are the Miura CB-501 irons that are forged to perfection in Japan by Mr. Katsuhiro Miura and his sons! As previously featured on EighteenUnderPar.com, the forging process at the Miura Forging Factory is a very delicate process and each iron is a work of art!
Aside from the normal quality of Miura clubs, the special edition KJ Choi irons will include a Miura letter of authenticity signed by KJ Choi and Mr. Katsuhiro Miura himself! A special KJ / Miura designation will also be found on the 7 irons and wedges of this special set! This set will include nine clubs, from PW to the 4-iron plus a 54- and 59-degree wedge. These clubs, which will come with KBS shafts and PURE grips, are built to K.J. Choi’s exact specifications. This set retails for $5,000 CAD initially but it can now be found at Golf Town for $1,600 CAD! Regardless if you decide to play with this set or just to have it for display, the special edition set of KJ Choi irons are definitely a work of art!
