Callway Talks: Kim Braly from KBS Golf Shafts

Last week, we featured the Apex Pro irons from Callaway Golf. The Apex Pro irons feature 1020 Carbon Steel forging, 7-gram tungsten weights in the long irons, wider-spaced grooves and stock KBS Tour-V shafts. In this episode of Callaway Talks, the shafts are what they’re focusing on – Kim Braly, Directly of R&D and Tour Operations at KBS Golf Shafts sits down with Harry Arnett to discuss the history of KBS, their collaboration with Tour Players and the KBS Tour-V used in the Apex Pro irons. As a shaft by itself, the Tour-V has up to 20% tighter shot dispersion than other popular shafts on the PGA Tour, 10% lighter weight and a mid trajectory through player and robot testing.
