Player Profile: Michelle Wie

In case you missed it, it was announced yesterday that the 2016 Rio Olympics and the return of golf to the Olympics is officially 1,000 days away! However, before golf is played at the Rio Olympics, it will be played in the 2014 Nanjing Youth Games in China, where Michelle Wie will play a big part as she was named as one of the ambassadors recently!

Michelle Wie

Michelle Wie was a prodigy back in the day and brings plenty of experience of dealing with pressure when playing on a big stage. Her main role as ambassador for the 2014 Youth Games is to support the young players and the game itself! Despite struggling in the game herself, Michelle is slowly making a climb in the Rolex Rankings and has strung together a few top 10 finishes this past season on the LPGA! Her strong showing in the Solheim Cup also indicates that her hard work is paying off and a breakthrough in her game is not too far away! Recently, Golfing World was able to get Michelle’s thoughts on becoming an ambassador for the 2014 Youth Games and the state of her game as well!
