The 2013 Masters Champion, Adam Scott, returns to his home town on the Gold Coast in Australia to compete in the Australian PGA Championship at RACV Royal Pines Golf Resort. Although he’s reflected on his historic Major championship win before, this is the first time he’s competing in Australia as the Masters champion. His historic win as the first ever Australian to win the green jacket has really inspired a nation of golfers – take a look at the video above and hear from Adam Scott! He was even given the key to the city from Gold Coast Mayor Tom Tate!
While in Australia though, Scott has mentioned ideas for his 2014 Masters Champions dinner. He’s playfully suggested having meat pies and vegemite on toast on his menu at the traditional Champions Dinner – “there’s definitely going to be a big Australian flavour on the menu … I think Moreton Bay Bugs are definitely going to get a run, they’re my favourite,” Scott said. We can’t wait to watch him defend his title next year at Augusta!
