A few days ago, we featured Pattaya, Thailand, where the world’s longest golf hole, a par 6 of nearly 900 yards, is found. That pales in comparison to what ESPN’s Kenny Mayne played in New Mexico. Founded in 1960, the Elfego Baca Golf Shoot is a one hole golf tournament that’s 2.5 miles in length! Not only is the length of the hole intimidating, but as Kenny said in the video, it’s a hole that goes down a 7,000 foot mountain in sun-scorched, cactus laden, rattlesnake infested, desert mountain terrain! Despite being so descriptive, you have to watch for yourself to see what the Elfego Baca Golf Shoot is all about!
