This is the last weekend in October and also our last week featuring golf courses in the province of Nova Scotia! We’ve already featured some amazing golf courses from that side of Canada and end the month off with Le Portage Golf Club, in Chéticamp, Nova Scotia. The course is right on the shores of the Gulf of St. Lawrence and at the entrance of the famous Cabot Trail in the Cape Breton Highlands National Park.
Le Portage Golf Club is located in the only francophone region on The Cabot Trail, making it not just a golf destination, but a unique cultural experience as well. The course has been designed well to represent its French Acadian culture and langauge, dating from the 16th century! Take that and combine it with the scenic surroundings which feature Cape Breton at its best and golfers are definitely going to have one of the best experiences ever. The golf course features 18 holes on a par 72 layout playing up to 6,777 yards. Fairways are tree lined on every hole with great views of the Highlands, giving golfers of all abilities a fun time and great views!
