We are at the end of the 2013 year and both the PGA Tour and European Tour are taking their tournaments to Asia! For the PGA Tour, they will travel to Malaysia to play the CIMB Classic at Kuala Lumpur Golf & CC while the European Tour is in Shanghai to play the BMW Masters at Lake Malaren Golf Club. The growth of golf in Asia has been helped tremendously by the visit of these professional tournaments. Golf resorts are being built everywhere, such as Mission Hills in China, where Tiger and Rory will their match later this year!
Among one of the fastest growing region of golf is Pattaya, Thailand, where 23 golf courses are within easy access of the city center! From the St. Andrews 2000 course, where two Par 6 holes can be found, including the world’s longest hole at almost 900 yards to night golf at a Jack Nicklaus designed course, Pattaya, Thailand is certainly a top golfing destination!
