Callaway Tips: Hardpan Chip Shot

Aside from Callaway’s weekly Office Tip of the Week, Callaway also has another series giving tips to their viewers! This series is Wedgeducation, in which their new Mack Daddy 2 wedges are put to the test on some of the toughest shots on the golf course! These are the same wedges that current Open Champion Phil Mickelson used when he won the Scottish Open and the Open Championship this past season!

In previous Callaway talks, the technology of the Mack Daddy 2 wedges were discussed, emphasizing the specifications of its grooves. But in the latest Wedgeducation, Callaway Director of Fitting and Instruction, Randy Peterson discusses the specific C grind of the Mack Daddy 2 wedges, which provides relief on the heel and toe of the club. This makes it easier for the club to get to the ball without getting ground when you are hitting chip shots from hardpan lies! But technique for the chip shot is just as important. Watch to see what Randy says about hitting chip shots from hardpan lies!
