Unlike the PGA Tour, the schedule of the LPGA Tour is not nearly as packed but this week, the LPGA will be visiting Kuala Lumpur for the Sime Darby LPGA Malaysia! Among the players in the field for the Sime Darby LPGA Malaysia is South Korean player IK Kim! Currently ranked number 10 in the Rolex Rankings, IK Kim is probably most remembered for her missed putt on the 72nd hole in the 2012 Kraft Nabisco Championship. But IK has moved on from that moment in her career and through an off season of working on her game as well as her fitness, her hard work has been paying off!
Despite not winning a tournament this year, IK has already earned a million dollars in prize money this year, collecting eight top 10 finishes, including second place in the US Women’s Open as well as her adopted hometown event, Kia Classic. In between working on her golf game and learning French and taking up the Guitar, Golfing World caught up with IK for a chat! Take a look at the video above and good luck to IK Kim at the Sime Darby LPGA Malaysia! According to fellow LPGA golfer Jane Park, it seems conditions are scorching hot!
