Access All Areas: On The Bag with David Duval

David Duval was a household name in the golf world in the late 1990s and early 2000s. This was the era when Tiger Woods burst onto the scene and dominated the world of golf. But one man toppled Tiger Woods from being the world’s number one golfer in 1999 and that was none other than David Duval! That was also the year David shot 59, becoming the third player to shoot 59 in a competitive round and the first to do so in a final round. David was also on the victorious US Ryder Cup team in the “Battle of Brookline!”

To sum it up, David Duval was on top of the golf world but soon after winning the Open Championship in 2001, David’s career started to spiral downwards due to various injuries. Before the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship last week, the European Tour’s Access All Areas caught up with David and as reporter Tom Greaves said, David was open and honest, but positive and reflective about his career up to date! David is working hard and with his positive attitude, we hope to see David Duval return to top form with his golf game soon! On a side note, anyone notice that David was using the Stitch golf headcovers?
