A very rare piece of golf history was available for auction recently and it was definitely a very hot item. The winning bid for this rare item was $629,229 and if you are wondering what this item was, it was Horton Smith’s green jacket, the first Masters jacket ever!
Now another rare item has surfaced and sold for $12,158.95 on GreenJacketsAuctions.com once again! This item was the 1935 Masters program, found by a Grovetown, Georgia woman named Lexie Hollingsworth. According to the Augusta Chronicle, programs were only produced for the Masters in 1934 and 1935 and was not produced again until the year 1990! This would certainly make the 1935 Masters program a very rare and valuable commodity!
