We are nearing the end of the FedEx Cup playoffs and this only signals that Fall and Winter is near. For those of us who live in the Northern Hemisphere, the cold, rain and even snow makes it very difficult to keep up with our golf games during the winter months. There are options for the winter in metropolitan cities, such as City Links Golf Lounge in Hong Kong and Urban Golf by Squire & Partners in London but now, new facilities in Ontario, Canada are providing golfers with another option!
City Links Golf Lounge in Hong Kong and Urban Golf by Squire & Partners in London are very similar in that they are both lounges with golf simulators for guests to hone their golf games! However, facilities in Toronto, such as the new Markham Golf Dome, provide golfers with a different variety in winter practice. Markham Golf Dome is located in the Toronto area and according to their website, they were recently voted in the top 10 driving ranges in North America!
With 53,000 square foot of space, Markham Golf Dome features a six storey driving range with 45 driving stalls on 2 tee decks! With the vast space, practice in the winter can be done without compromising visualization of your ball flights! There are also outdoor facilities for warmer weather conditions, including 60 stall outdoor driving range, a putting and chipping green as well as teaching area! Aside from Markham Golf Dome, other golf domes in the area include Golfdome Mississauga and Metro Golf Dome. If you are in the Toronto area, there would be no excuse to not practice during the winter months!
