We introduced the Callaway Legacy Black driver a while back and featured four videos of the driver introduction, conceptualization, the build and first testing by Ryo Ishikawa. The Callaway Legacy Black driver offers advanced forging technology combined with a premium black finish to give the club a classic look with modern technology and delivering more distance with accuracy and feel. The Legacy Black features a Forged Speed Frame Face cup, which produces higher ball speeds for long distance, similar to the Phrankenwood. The Legacy Black will also offer adjustability as well – a silver triangular adjustable weight on the sole of the driver to move weight more forward in the clubhead and an adjustable hosel which gives 4 different loft options, addresses the “dynamic loft issue.”
In this post, we’re featuring the final two videos from Callaway Golf Japan’s Legacy Black driver promotion and story. These last two videos feature Ryo Ishikawa again in his second and third testing of the driver and he also gives his feedback! It is mostly in Japanese though, so if you are fluent, let us know what he’s saying with an official translation! Our Japanese language skills are limited, but from the sounds of it, Ryo really likes the clubs! He comments on the shape of the club as well as the sound (which he says is similar to the FT-5 driver) – “there’s no words that can really describe it, but he feels that the club fits him very well.” Check out the videos below! You can also view the previous 4 videos here!
