Course of the Week: Algonquin Golf Course

A view of Algonquin Golf Course in New Brunswick, Canada

It’s a new month – in addition to our newly redesigned EighteenUnderPar.com, we’re also moving to a new province for our weekly Course of the Week feature! Last month, we focused on golf courses in Newfoundland and Labrador; this month, we’re going to be looking for golf courses in the province of New Brunswick in Atlantic Canada.

The first New Brunswick golf course we’re featuring is the Algonquin Golf Course and Academy, situated on the shores of Passamaquoddy Bay and rated in the top 10 oceanside golf courses in North America by Score Golf. And how fitting is it that this oceanside golf course is based in a town called St. Andrews! Algoquin Golf Course is a signature 18-hole course designed by award-winning architect Thomas McBroom that plays up to 7000 yards! Originally constructed in 1894, the course boasts Canada’s oldest clubhouse that provides all of the modern amenities. The golf course really takes advantage of its location on the shores of Passamaquoddy Bay, giving golfers beautiful vistas and scenary while they play a challenging round of golf!
