Preview to the 2013 PGA Tour Playoffs

With the PGA Tour season ending and major championships done for another year, the golfing world’s attention now turns to the PGA Tour playoffs. We were treated to a great first event at Liberty National Golf Course for The Barclays Championship. The leaderboard was packed on Sunday with many of the world’s top golfers including Tiger Woods, Adam Scott, Justin Rose and Phil Mickelson as well as others, all with a chance to win on Sunday on the back 9. It was Adam Scott who came out victorious though, vaulting himself to third in the world rankings and putting him into a first and second round grouping of Tiger Woods, Phil Mickelson and Adam Scott!

The PGA Tour Playoffs for the FedEx Cup continues this week at TPC Boston for the Deutsche Bank Championship, which was won by Rory McIlroy last year. Rory’s form is starting to come around, so hopefully we see him make a move this week! After the Deutsche Bank Championship, the Playoffs will take a week off before returning to Conway Farms Golf Course in Lake Forest, Illinois on September 12 to 15.
