Tiger Woods debuted the new TW’14 golf shoe at this year’s Players Championship. Tiger Woods is a huge fan of the Nike Free technology – he often trains and wears the Nike Free technology and pitched the idea to Nike to implement it into a golf shoe. The result was the recent TW line of golf shoes, delivering the freedom and support for all golfers to unleash the full power of their swing. Main features of the TW’14 include the Nike Free-inspired outsole, providing increased flexibility and full athletic motion; Nike Dynamic Fit with flywire techonology for an adaptive, glove-like fit; and an improved ventilated upper design delivering enhanced breathability and comfort. Take a look at this behind the scenes video of the design of the TW’14.
Nike takes it a step further this year with the customizable Nike iD option for the TW’14. As Nike iD Japan has shown in these photos, there are plenty of options to create a truly unique golf shoe for you! We especially like the “paint splatter” detail on the sides of the shoe, as seen in the photo below! The Nike iD option brings fashion and style to the Sport of Golf!
