The FedEx Cup started this past weekend at The Barclays at Liberty National GC where Adam Scott pulled out a one shot victory! There are three more events to the FedEx Cup before the $10 million prize money is awarded to the player with the most FedEx Cup points! This is the glory of the PGA Tour, playing for such a big amount of money but on the other end of the spectrum are talented players fighting for their Tour cards!
The famous Q-School format of attaining a Tour card is gone and this year, a similar playoff format to the FedEx Cup has been implemented on the Web.com Tour! All 50 available Tour cards for the 2014 season is up for grabs as the top 75 money winners on the Web.com Tour and No.126-200 in the FedEx Cup standings on the PGA tour will converge to compete for their 2014 PGA Tour cards! The player who finishes number 1 in the Web.com Tour earnings as well as the Web.com Tour playoffs will also earn an invite to The Players Championship next season. Golf is a difficult game and it certainly shows as you see quite a few “big” names on the list competing in the Web.com Tour Playoffs!
