Winning the Green Jacket at the Masters may be the greatest thing to have ever happened to Adam Scott’s golf career so far. Not only did Adam get the monkey off his back and win his first Major championship but it seems to have inspired new confidence in his game! Adam has been in contention in the other Majors this past season and he even took home the first event of the FedEx Cup playoffs at the Barclays! For most of us, we probably will never ever play in the Masters to win our very own green jacket but now, an authentic Green Jacket from Augusta can be yours!
Horton Smith was given the Green Jacket when he won the first ever Masters in 1934. However, the current owners are Tom and Michael Lackovic and they became owners of the Green Jacket through the death of their mother, who married Horton Smith’s brother, Renshaw Smith. Renshaw passed away in 1971 and the jacket has been in the closet of the Lackovic brothers ever since!

Although the Lackovic brothers contacted Augusta National 15 years ago in regards to Smith’s Green Jacket, there was no incentive to remove the jacket from their closet until the Lackovics read about the 1966 PGA Championship winner, Al Geiberger, who consigned many memorabilia to Green Jacket Auctions. Among the memorabilia was his Ping putter that he used in the PGA Tour’s first round of 59! Ping bought the putter for $7,222 and it is now on display at their headquarters in Arizona. Perhaps it’ll change your life as much as it changed Adam Scott’s! But probably not!
