Golf is a sport that many other professional athletes love to play, whether it be NBA all stars or NHL hockey players. Having played with the Calgary Flames, Pittsburgh Penguins, Los Angeles Kings, Philidelphia Flyers and even our hometown Vancouver Canucks, Dan Quinn chose to swap his hockey stick for a golf club. He is one of the top golfers on the Celebrity Tour, has caddied for John Daly and can now be found on the bag of “The Big Easy,” Ernie Els.
Quinn and Els met through their two daughters and eventually played a game of golf together followed by a cold beer and barbecue. They later went to Asia together and did the Barclays in Singapore and finished 12th, then came 2nd the follow week at the HSBC, which led to a “caddie share” type of arrangement with Els’ usual caddie, Ricci Roberts.
