The dreaded 3-putt in golf is probably one of the most frustrating thing for any golfer who plays the game. Like other Presidents before him, the 44th President of the United States, Barack Obama, is an avid golfer and even he’s not immune to the 3-putt. In a recent round with aide Marvin Nicholson, White House chef Sam Kass and Wall Street consultant Robert Wolf, the press corps were allowed to watch the President and his group play the first hole of the Farm Neck Golf Club in Martha’s Vineyard. Unfortunately for the President, they witnessed him 3-putt the first hole!
Perhaps the cameras were distracting him but this would be a good reason to put the Kramski putter from Chancellor Angela Merkel of Germany in his bag! See below of the President’s “Tools of the Trade” from back in 2012 – looks like he’s carrying 17 clubs though!
