The NFL season is around the corner as training camp has started and the first preseason game is just a few days away! As with most people, athletes tend to take up the game of golf during their holidays and two of the best quarterbacks in the league, Tom Brady and Peyton Manning, are no different. One of the golf stories that came out from these two famed QB’s summer was their match with two businessmen,”Ed and Sam.” The Best Ball golf match took place at a course near Pebble Beach and it was a “very private round of golf” according to Peyton.
The match was quite competitive as Tom and Peyton were down one hole to “Ed and Sam” going to the 17th hole! Realizing that if they lost, the defeat would go viral within minutues, Tom and Peyton clutched up with Tom making birdie on the 17th and Peyton making birdie on the 18th to win the match! As Peyton said after their victory,“Both of us felt like it was one of our biggest victories. We could not lose to these guys, because we knew it would go viral, within minutes.” It’s nice to see two AFC rivals team up but soon enough, we’ll be seeing them battle it out on the gridiron! As for “Ed and Sam,” despite nearly winning the Best Ball match against two of the greatest QBs in the NFL, a consolation prize would be that the loss would still make for a great story to tell!
