We may be in the thick of the golf season during the summer time but for most sports, summer days are the off season. Aside from a much deserved rest and training for the next season, some athletes may also be looking for a job as their contracts expired and they are pending free agents! Such is the case with former Miami Heat Mike Miller as he was pondering his decision on where to play next after a championship winning season in 2013!
Having played with the Memphis Grizzlies before, current Grizzly and former teammate Mike Conley is well aware of what kind of player Mike Miller is. According to Marc Stein, NBA correspondent for ESPN.com, if Mike Miller signs with the Grizzlies, Mike Conley would pay for Mike Miller’s golf rounds for an entire year if he signs with the Grizzlies! It seems Mike Conley’s plan worked to perfection but we wonder if NBA Commissioner David Stern would consider this tampering!
