In Canada, hockey is religion. But we are now in the dog days of summer as players are well into their offseason, training for the upcoming season in the Fall or just taking some time off to relax. As with other athletes, golf is a popular activity among hockey players and golf technology has even made it into hockey! Particpation in golf charity tournaments from hockey players are very common and recently, Stanley Cup Champion Jonathan Toews along with Jets defenseman Zach Bogosian, former Jets star Dale Hawerchuk and Jets broadcaster Shane Hnidy took part in a little more than just golf in a charity tournament in Winnipeg!
In a strange turn of events, the four NHLers teamed up to face four PGA Tour Canada pros in a game of ball hockey, but on grass! However, it might be a move they regret for the rest of summer as the result was probably not what they envisioned when the game started. Take a look at the highlights below!
