This week, the Open Championship returns to Muirfield and it’s the first time Tiger Woods has returned since the 2002 Open Championship when he shot 81 in the third round, his highest score as a professional! Of course, this was due to the most horrible weather ever in a Major Championship and ESPN had a chance to recall this experience with Tiger a few days ago!
Despite not playing a competitive round since the US Open at Merion, Tiger claims he’s ready to go and the left elbow strain that had been bothering him has fully healed. After flying overnight to Scotland on Sunday, Tiger was already at work on Sunday morning, playing a practice round at Muirfield. As seen in the pictures, Nike is also fully prepared for the Open Championship with Tiger’s outfits for the week and other brands are making their mark as well with their custom equipment! Golf Digest has also previewed some of the styles that golfers will be sporting at the Open this week! The anticipation for the tournament is building quickly and we can’t wait until Thursday!
