We all know the stories of the world’s best players starting golf at a very young age – the PGA Tour even created a commercial with all the players that were “born for this.” But what we didn’t see was all the sacrifice and hard work that was put into the game at the young age.
The Short Game is a movie that follows the lives of eight of the best 7-year old golfers in the world as they train for and compete in the World Championships of Junior Golf held at Pinehurst, North Carolina. 1500 young golfers gather from 54 different countries to compete, with the winner crowned golf’s next phenom. Take a look into this world of competitive golf and a group of very young athletes and their families. Below, you’ll see a short clip on one particular golfer – Allan Kournikova, 8-year old kid brother of tennis player/model, Anna Kournikova!
