We featured indoor and urban golf before at City Links Golf Lounge in Hong Kong, but Squire and Partners brings urban golf to a whole new level. It’s not easy to find land for a golf course in high density cities like downtown London or Hong Kong, so the Squire and Partners have brought golf indoors to the Urban Golf London Club with London-style furnishings. Located in the basement of an office block, the space is designed around the game of golf with practice greens just steps away from the bar and seven screen golf simulators throughout.
The simulators are equipped with a ball tracking system from aboutGolf called 3trak – similar to the TrackMan we’ve all used when being custom-fit for clubs. 3Trak not only measures the ball’s speed and trajectory, it’s the only system to accurately measure spin! This means that shots that you hit outdoors will be accurately reflected in the simulator – fades, draws, slices, hooks, lobs and even the shanks! The ball will react exactly as it would in the real world. Seems like the perfect place to practice your game during the off season or just to hang out – definitely looks like a very luxurious and laid-back indoor golf experience in a city setting!
