TaylorMade Golf: R1 Black

TaylorMade Golf has been one of the most dominant equipment manufacturers in golf for the past decade and may become even more well known in the past three years as the pioneer of the white-colored metalwoods, having converted its entire line to white-colored clubheads. But today, Taylormade Golf and the #1 Driver in Golf has decided to launch a #BackInBlack edition of the R1, or the R1 Black. The specs remain the same as the original white clubhead version of the R1, however, with the black version, the racing stripe graphic on the top of the club is much more subtle. This is in response to a lot of customer feedback and Taylormade has responded and delivered. The R1 Black will probably appeal to many golfing traditionalists who do not prefer the white crowned drivers. It will be released on June 10th! Which one do you all prefer? Leave a comment and let us know!

The R1 is the most adjustable driver in TaylorMade history, including 168 possible settings, featuring two movable heel and toe weights in the clubhead to manipulate the center of gravity, a four-degree range of lofts courtesy a 12-way adjustable hosel (from 8 to 12 degrees) and a sole plate that accommodates seven different face angle adjustments. The driver comes pre-set at 10 degrees, but with the ability to adjust, a player will be sure to find the best combination to maximize their swing and get the perfect set-up!
