Rory McIlroy & Men’s Health Magazine

Over the past decade or so, the game of golf has really changed in terms of its training and preparation. Most people would agree that this was due to Tiger Woods and the training culture that he brought to the game. Golf is a sport and with weekly tournaments as competitive as ever, athletes would go to extreme lengths to gain an edge.

In this month’s Men’s Health magazine, Rory McIlroy was featured and was asked how fitness has helped elevate his game to another level. From cutting his body fat from 22% to 16% and feeling more confident in his body and mind, it is hard to argue with the results as Rory won two Major Championships shortly after starting his training regiment with trainer, Steve McGregor. Rory won both the 2011 US Open and 2012 PGA Championship by 8 strokes, setting the US Open record with an aggregate score of -16 while winning by 8 strokes was a record at the PGA Championship! Despite losing the number one world ranking to Tiger Woods, Rory is as motivated as ever and we are sure more success are ahead of him! Take a look at the video above to see Rory’s behind the scenes photo shoot with Men’s Health magazine!
