Our Course of the Week remains in the province of Manitoba this week after featuring Pine Ridge Golf Club last week. Granite Hills Golf Club is located 20 minutes from the scenic town of Lac du Bonnet, which is approximately 115 kilometres (71 miles) northeast of Winnipeg. It is a relatively new golf course as it opened on August 11, 2007.
The Granite Hills Golf Club is on the Granite Hills Golf Club & Estates, a 320 acre sub-division situated at the point where the Lee River joins Lac Du Bonnet Lake. Because of this, parts of the course winds along the shores of Lake Lac du Bonnet, adding to the scenic experience of a round of golf there! Its location by the water also allow it to offer a public dock for golfers who choose to go there by boat!
And as the name suggests, there are large granite rock outcroppings throughout the golf course as well as elevated tee blocks, 35 sand bunkers and 5 lakeside fairways to add to your experience. From the back tees, the course plays 7082 yards while the front tees play 5428 yards, allowing golfers of all skill level to enjoy their experience at Granite Hills Golf Course!
