For this week’s Course of the Week, we are moving on from the Elk Ridge Resort in the province of Saskatchewan to Manitoba. Manitoba is one of the Canadian prairie provinces and is more known for its extreme weather. However, golf has long been a past time in Manitoba and just north of its capital and largest city, Winnipeg, is the Pine Ridge Golf Club!
Pine Ridge Golf Club was founded in 1912 and by today’s standard, it is not a particular long golf course. From the back tees, the course plays only 6,636 yards. Although the course lacks length, it requires pin point accuracy as its greens are very well known for its “immaculate, quick and undulating putting surfaces!” Surrounded by “a backdrop of rolling hills and a lush forest,” Pine Ridge Golf Course provide players with a golf experience surrounded by natural beauty. If you are ever in Manitoba, Pine Ridge Golf Club is definitely worth checking out!
