Ever watch a professional athlete play and thought to yourself that you could do that? In most cases, that’s probably a dream but maybe not so much in this case. At the European Tour’s Trophee Hassan II in Morocco on Thursday, 20-year-old Czech Jakub Svoboda shot a score that’s so bad, he called it quits after six holes.
As seen in his scorecard below, Svoboda shot a double, quadruple, quintuple, treble, double and quintuple bogey in his first and only six holes in the tourney. That’s 21 over par through six and we are sure that Jakub was well on his way to shooting over 100 and perhaps challenging Mark James’ record of the worse score ever on the European Tour, 111 at the 1978 Italian Open! Jakub cited a wrist injury for his withdrawal but perhaps it was his pride that was more injured. Svoboda was able to qualify for the European Tour tournament through the National/Regional Orders of Merit.
