Tiger Woods has just won for the 8th time at the Arnold Palmer Invitational presented by MasterCard at Bay Hill! This is his third victory of the year already (and 6th in his last 20 starts), with the Masters in just two weeks! After a rain delayed round on Sunday, play was resumed early Monday morning with Tiger cruising to a round of 70 and a two shot victory over Justin Rose. Rickie Fowler was also in the mix until a triple bogey at the par-5 16th hole, where he hit two shots into the water – he would finish T-3. With this win, Tiger has accumulated 77 total wins in his career and also ties Sam Snead for most wins in a single event. Woods also returns to number 1 in the official world golf rankings, however, Rory McIlroy will have a chance to take the position back when he tees it up at the Shell Houston Open this coming week.
As Tiger returns to his winning ways, his acting also seems to be improving! This is one of the many videos that Tiger has been in lately, including the latest cameo in Eric Koston’s skateboarding commercial. In “The Rumble,” a commercial for Tiger Woods PGA Tour ’14, Arnold Palmer and Tiger Woods are looking to take a ride in a helicopter before they’re surrounded and confronted by a group of men. These men want Tiger’s and Arnold’s major championship trophies, but they’re not going to give them up without a fight! Lee Travino also makes a cameo!
