The new Mizuno MP-S, which was recently introduced in Japan, will be Mizuno’s first ever golf ball for Europe. This is the third generation of the MP ball line, with the previous models being sold only to the Japanese market. You may have not known that Mizuno produced golf balls, but they’ve been doing so since 2005! The MP-S is a multi-piece tour level ball, with a ultra soft urethane cover for exceptional traction on short greenside shots. A large inner core and a very resilient inner cover results in high ball speeds and 318 large, shallow dimples to produce a stable, mid-trajectory ball flight.
You might be wondering why Mizuno didn’t introduce their MP ball line until now – it’s because they were perfecting their craft and waiting until they could construct a ball that met Tour expectations. With a ball that stops as quickly as it takes off and gives increidble control and response around the greens with its super tacky and “visco-elastic” cover, Mizuno has definitely met Tour demands. Hopefully, we’ll be able to see these in North America soon and get our hands on them! The MP-S will be available in Europe from mid March for about 60 Euros per dozen.
