The 2013 Vancouver Golf and Travel Show was held this past weekend at the Vancouver Convention Center. It is the largest consumer golf show in Western Canada and a partner with British Columbia Golf and PGA British Columbia. This year, there were over 150 exhibitors, including local golf courses, golf courses south of the border, resorts from all around the world, travel destinations, golf manufacturers and more!
One of the busiest areas of the show was definitely the golf demo zone where Cobra, Taylormade, Nike Golf, Tour Edge and Callaway set up booths to test their latest equipment for this season. Cobra had their AMP Cell drivers out and Taylormade, who had one of the bigger booths, were showing off the Rocketballz Stage 2 and R1 drivers and fairway woods. Nike Golf was on hand to promote their VR_S Covert cavity backed equipment – they even had a flight scope monitor there to help consumers out! Tour Edge was also there introducing some of there products and finally, Callaway golf was on hand to show consumers the new X-Hot and RAZR Fit X-treme drivers! It was a lot of fun to test out all the new equipment! One thing about Nike Golf’s VR_S Covert driver though is that the red is a lot brighter than we were anticipating!
Chamber’s Bay Golf Course, host of the 2010 U.S. Amateurs and 2015 U.S. Open, also had a booth and offered great playing deals for consumers at the golf show. The course has completely finished their renovations and are U.S. Open ready! Just a couple hours south of the border, we couldn’t resist not buying a package to play at Chamber’s Bay! We’ll be sure to update our experiences and keep everyone updated when that happens, so stay tuned!
