The addition of Rory McIlroy to Team Nike was one of the worse kept secrets ever. There was a grand introduction for McIlroy at this year’s Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship, however, it wasn’t the story book week that everyone was hoping for. McIlroy struggled with his game (his clubs or just rust?) throughout the week and missed the cut. He’s had a couple of weeks off to keep working on his game and get back to the form he had at the end of last season though and will tee it up again this week at the WGC Accenture Match Play Championship from February 20 – 24, then next week at the Honda Classic from February 28 – March 3.
