With Phil Mickelson raving about his driver last week at the Waste Management Phoenix Open, the video above shows the science behind his new RAZR Fit Xtreme driver! After nearly shooting 59 in his first round, Phil went on to post a score of 65, 64 and 67 in his next three rounds to finish at a total score of 28-under!
With his new driver, Phil was able to hit more fairways and hence, hit more greens in regulations. Callaway’s senior vice president of research and development, Dr. Alan Hocknell, explains how the new driver is more forgiving while also helping Phil take the left side out of play and lowering the spin rate. Up next for Phil is the AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am where he hopes to continue his hot play and defend his title from 2012!
