This is our second course of the week in our Canadian Province features. This week, we feature Predator Ridge Resort, the definition of what a B.C. golf vacation is all about. Located in Vernon, the heart of the Okanagan Valley, visitors can stay at the Predator Ridge Lodge or a private lodge while enjoying 36 holes of championship golf and dining at an award winning restaurant. Predator Ridge Resort is also the summer home of Hockey Canada, so don’t be surprised to see some NHL players during the summer!
The two courses at Predator Ridge, the Predator Course and the Ridge Course, are kept in immaculate condition. The Predator Course has hosted the Skins Game twice in the last eight years and SCOREGolf has voted The Ridge Course as Canada’s Best New Golf Course of 2010. Both courses give visitors spectacular views of the valley and it’s surroundings.
Although golf is the focal point of this resort community, there is also a lot of other activities during the summer and winter that visitors can take part in. On the property, guests can enjoy famous spas, sauns and treatments at the KurSpa at Sparkling Hill Resort. Surrounding the resort is B.C.’s wine region – there are many wineries to tour and orchards to walk. Hiking is also very popular in the summer, there 12km of trails offer hikers the most spectacular views of Lake Okanagan. During the winter, some of the best powder snow mountains are at your footsteps for snowshoeing, skiing, snowboarding or cross-country skiing.
