This week, we’re continuing our tour of golf courses and resorts in New Zealand with Paraparaumu Beach Golf Club. Commonly known as “the best links course in New Zealand,” the course is set on the Kapiti Coast, just 40 minutes north of New Zealand’s capital city, Wellington. This is a classic links style golf course, which has hosted the New Zealand Open Championship 12 times.
As expected from a links golf course, many of the fairways look like a roller-coaster track, with hills flowing up and down. Being set on the Kapiti Coast also gives golfers a great backdrop of mountains, snow-capped in winter, on several holes. Each hole does seem to have it’s own character, yet still giving players the feeling of consistency throughout their round.
