Course of the Week: Barnbougle Lost Farm

Last week, we introduced Barnbougle Dunes as our Course of the Week.  Barnbougle Lost Farm is situated adjacent to the Barnbougle Dunes Course on the north east coast of Tasmania on the wild and dramatic coastline of Anderson Bay.  Lost farm is unique because it features 20 holes of golf – all of which are playable to golfers during their round.  Many of the holes wind along the coast next to the Forester River and inland towards the Tasmanian hinterland.  However, unlike the Dunes course, Lost Farm was designed and constructed by Coore & Crenshaw, a world renowned US golf course design company.

The course was crafted with a minimalist design with the philosophy that traditional, strategic golf is the most rewarding.  The design complements the landscape extremely well and provides a challenge for golfers of all levels.  This would be a great vacation spot for the winter – stay and play at both golf courses, and enjoy the the spas as well!
