Next week, the European Tour will visit Hong Kong where Rory McIlroy will defend his title from 2011. In anticipation of the tournament, marketing is in full flight as “Golf in the City” takes place in Chater Garden in Central, Hong Kong. An 18-hole mini golf course has been set up in the middle of the city to spark interest in the upcoming event. Portable nets have also been set up as Professionals are present to give a quick lesson! With Hong Kong lacking the space for golf, it is definitely a rare opportunity for an event like this!
However, before visiting Hong Kong, the European Tour is in Singapore this week for the Barclays Singapore Open. Rory McIlroy is in the field and is looking to wrap up the European money list with a top 10 finish. This would make him the second player to win both money titles on the PGA and European Tour, after Luke Donald did it last year.
